It's been a hard time today.
I think it is important to have good working attitude. In the IT industry, we are here to solve problems. However, today I meet a colleague which is pushing the problem.
If this is the technical level you have, sorry. You are quite noobie.

I think this is not so much on technical level already. As you said, it is about working attitude. If the correct attitude is there to learn things, technical level will rise, but if attitude is poor, nothing get done...
Hope that your colleague is stuck in technical barrier rather than poor attitude.
